Omar Sassin

Omar Sassin runs the studio and works as a stylist and educator. He trained at Mid-America Beauty School, a Pivot Point school in Chicago, to start his cosmetology career, and also completed seminars with Mario Tricoci. Next came three years with Michael Thomas Salons in the Chicago area, where he picked up the Vidal Sassoon technical approach to design and cutting. He later relocated to Tampa to join the research and development team at Mantrap Salons of Florida, which he led for five years while training more than 500 hairdressers and sales staff. In 2006 he was chosen to teach at the Redken Exchange on Fifth Avenue in New York City. He then joined Redken L'Oreal in New York for national and international platform shows and in-salon classes, and worked two seasons at New York Fashion Week. His teaching has happened in theater auditoriums, in salons, and at national and international trade shows. He has more than 200 medallions and 20 trophies from international artistic competitions. He serves as an official international juror for OMC, representing the USA women division, and judges global hairdressing contests, including the HAIRWORLD Olympics of hairdressing. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian. His services cover hair design and finishing, plus color and color correction. His classes address principles of design, creative work, trends, long hair and finishing. He has also worked in product sales and promotion.
