Nimia Sarmiento owns Nimia's Beauty Salon and works as its head beautician. She trained at the Long Island Beauty School in Hauppauge, where she graduated with high marks, and she has received cosmetology certifications. Before buying the salon in April 2011, she had worked for its previous owner and had practiced as a cosmetologist for about seven years. Her specialties include coloring, keratin treatments, haircuts, smoothing, body waves, and everyday styles that are easy to care for. Many of her clients have become friends as well as regulars.
