Nika founded Studio Mane Hair Co. In early 2022, while still in cosmetology school, she started working in hair extensions and hair-health restoration. She has spent over four years applying Nano Tip extensions and now works with nano tip and V-Light methods. Many of her clients have hair that is fine, thinning, fragile or damaged, and some have been told extensions would not work for them. She pairs extension work with restorative care, plans placement to suit each person, and thinks about the long term. Before recommending an installation, she assesses natural density, scalp condition, existing damage, lifestyle and what the client wants from their hair. The gram count, placement pattern, length and distribution are then adjusted for that individual. Color is matched in person at the consultation, and she often blends more than one shade. Nano Tips can be an option for clients with thinner or sparser hair when the right product is chosen and it is fitted carefully. She will advise against extensions when the hair's current state doesn't support them.
