Nicole

Nicole is the owner stylist at Seoul Scissors and has more than 25 years of professional hair experience. Before opening the Brooklyn studio inside Hair by Fendi, she worked in salons in Seoul and Manhattan.

She trained in salons across Gangnam and Hongdae in Seoul and later studied Japanese cutting and styling methods. Her focus is precision cuts for women and men, combining Korean layering with Japanese cutting and adapting these styles to different lengths and textures. Her cuts include long, medium and short styles, layered cuts, bobs and lobs, face-framing, textured, blunt and low-maintenance looks. She also performs men's haircuts, including Korean- and Japanese-inspired cuts, and shapes longer men's hair so the cut stays intentional while it grows out or is kept at length.

Beyond cutting, she works on dimensional color, highlights and balayage, gray coverage, and blowouts and styling. Her work centers on perms, including digital and cold perms and Volume Magic, as well as Japanese hair straightening, and she offers hair health consultations. Before recommending a perm, she evaluates density, porosity, elasticity, scalp sensitivity and prior chemical history, and runs a strand test during the consultation to check compatibility before any solution is applied.
