About
Nathaniel S. Brigham, MD, is Medical Director and co-owner of Aluma and founded the practice in 2018. He is a board-certified internal medicine physician and a licensed physician in active practice, and he also works as a hospitalist. He has more than 20 years in medicine and more than eight years in aesthetic medicine, and he began specializing in aesthetic medicine in Portland in 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Butler University and a medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 2005. He completed his internal medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University, and earlier served as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon, interning at Naval Hospital Bremerton. He later worked as an internal medicine provider at Providence Portland Medical Center.
He has completed over 500 hours of advanced aesthetic training and more than 25 private continuing education courses. His training includes Swift Beauty masterclasses, Palette courses, non-surgical lip augmentation training with Dr. Harris, and anatomy study with anatomist Dr. Sebastian Cotofana. He trains in person with Allergan Aesthetics each quarter to refine neuromodulator technique and completed an Allergan immersive course on patient safety.
He performs all of the injectable treatments at Aluma. His focus is dermal filler, with over eight years of hands-on practice, along with neuromodulators and Kybella for the chin and jowls. His filler work is anatomy-driven and aimed at natural results.
