Nancy Davan

Nancy Davan is the massage therapist lead and a Reiki practitioner at Self-Care Center in Venice, Florida. She calls herself a master massage therapist and has 15 years of massage work behind her, in hospitals, hospice, spas and chiropractic settings. Before that she spent 30 years in advertising, most recently as Vice President and Managing Director of the Art Buying department, serving blue chip clients. She is licensed as a massage therapist in Florida and Massachusetts and is a National Board-certified massage therapist. She is also a National Board-Certified Reflexologist and has been a Certified Medical massage therapist since September 2018. Her certifications include myofascial release, dementia and Alzheimer's massage, and oncology massage, and she completed S.T.A.R. Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation. She trained at The Palmer Institute for Massage and Bodywork in Salem, Massachusetts, and at Spa Tech in Ipswich, Massachusetts, in 2009, then at Marionna Sabia Reflexology in Stoneham, Massachusetts, in 2010. She is trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoko System of Natural Health. Her work includes pediatric massage and care for people with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's and ALS. Earlier roles include the massage therapy team at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Care Dimensions (formerly Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston Hospice), and Winchester Hospital Cancer Center in Winchester, Massachusetts. She volunteered with CHAS Children's Hospice across Scotland, helping set up home visits, and in 2019 she gave time at the Wellness Clinic at Post 159 in Venice, supporting veterans living with PTSD. Her Reiki certification is in place, with master/teacher training in progress as of 2024, and she has been a Crystal Polarity practitioner since 2009. She also created The Divine Thrine: Massage Reflexology Reiki.
