Ms. Nelly runs The BRAID BAR by Ms. Nelly and opened her first mini salon in Dallas in 2016. She is a licensed cosmetologist, licensed since 2005, and holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurship. Through The BRAID ACADEMY she teaches hands-on braiding. Her braids are known for precision and consistency. Her clients have included professional athletes, musicians, entertainers and creators. She was named a Top 25 Braider in the OneShot Hair Awards in 2023 and a Top 5 Braider in 2024. Her work has been featured in Elle Magazine, on the cover of Haute Living New York, and in NBA 2K.
