Monisha Brown

Monisha Brown is a licensed cosmetologist and the owner of MKB Beauty. She has more than 17 years of experience working with all hair textures. Her specialties are Natural Hair Specialist, XTC Hair Loss Specialist and TRESemmé Curl Specialist, and she also works as a makeup artist (MUA).

Her training includes cosmetology school started while she was in high school, followed by a cosmetology license. She also earned an associate degree in business administration from Sanford-Brown College. She holds certifications as a Redken Certified Colorist, a Rezo Certified Curl Specialist and a Bellami Certified Extension Specialist.

She works with all textures of naturally curly hair, and takes on cuts and a wide range of color techniques and styles. Clients of every hair texture are welcome, and she teaches them that each texture is unique so they can better understand their own hair. She keeps up with changes in the beauty industry and shares what she learns with clients. She does not do extension braiding, which needs a separate braider.
