Monique

Monique owns Melanin Skin Studio and works as its lead esthetician. She is a licensed esthetician who trained at Aveda Arts & Science of Dallas. She previously owned an independent Avon and Younique cosmetics business. Her further training includes extended hours and advanced theory and technique at The Wax Connection in Houston, Texas, and a comprehensive advanced acne program at Texas Laser & Aesthetics Academy. In 2024 she finished a three-day Master course with Skinscript in Atlanta, which went deep on skin anatomy, physiology, histology and acne care. She attends yearly conferences, including the International Congress of Esthetics. She guides newer estheticians and people weighing a solo practice through one-on-one Esthi 101 sessions. The one-hour Clarity Call helps people decide whether and how to go solo, priced at $197. The 30-minute Check-In Call is for clients who have completed a Clarity Call, priced at $65.
