About
Monica Harris runs Monica's Skincare Boutique in Oak Park, where she personally performs every client's appointment. Her working life began in 1997, when she started doing makeup; since then her credits include bridal work, runway shows and magazine shoots. She has been a licensed esthetician since 2001, and she is also a licensed nail technician. That same year she developed a makeup artistry course for South Suburban College, which is still offered through the college's Adult Continuing Education program, and she taught it. Also in 2001, she entered a partnership and opened High Maintenance Spa in Chicago, which concentrated on advanced treatments for troubled skin, anti-aging care and ethnic skincare. In 2004 she launched Spa In Your Space, a mobile spa business that now operates in several states. Her approach centers on teaching clients about skincare and on how overall health shows up in the skin. At the Oak Park boutique, clients are seen one at a time.
