Mona Sappenfield

Mona Sappenfield founded Mona Esthetics and works there as an aesthetician. She obtained her first aesthetician license in 1979. She was the first in the Southeast to use the CoolGlide laser, starting in 2002.

Her training includes a CIDESCO diploma, with her CIDESCO Diplomate status, and NCEA certification. She holds an Oncology Skin Specialist certification from Circadia University and a Laser Institute of America certification, and she was trained in laser safety by that institute. She also holds manufacturer laser use certification from Cutera and others, and she has taken courses over a span of 30 years to address skin concerns. She completed the Leadership Memphis Executive Program.

She is a member of Associated Skin Care Professionals and was a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery for 10 years. She served nine years on the Tennessee State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners by governor appointment, and she was formerly a state representative for the National Beauty Association. Her specialty is oncology skin care, and she holds Tennessee aesthetician, Medical Spa Registry and skin care licenses.
