Mitchel Wilson

Mitchel Wilson founded Subterranean Hair in 2019 and works as a haircutting and barbering specialist. He has more than 25 years in hair, most of it in hair education, and has spent 18 years on advanced styling and barbering education. He has taught audiences around the world.

Before opening the salon, he spent 20 years on the corporate side of professional hairdressing. His cutting work has appeared in trend-setting collections, in film and television, and with musicians and celebrities. He has worked backstage at New York Fashion Week for designers such as Rag & Bone, Chris Benz, Prabal Gurung, The Blondes and Mara Hoffman, and did the cutwork for a 2013 NAHA finalist collection. His listed hourly rate is $130.
