Misty Soderholm

Misty Soderholm founded SoderWorld Wellness Center in Willowbrook, Illinois, where she serves as owner, manager and academy director. Her wellness career began in 1994, and the site cites about 30 years of experience in the healing arts. She ran her own school for a decade, and it later developed into an advanced training academy for massage therapists. She teaches as faculty at the Universal Spa Training Academy in Downers Grove, has taught at the Ananda Ayurveda Academy, and once worked as an Ayurvedic and Panchakarma therapist at the Deepak Chopra Center for Well-Being in California. She trained at the Wellness and Massage Training Institute and graduated from the School of Healing Arts in San Diego in 1997. Her studies cover yoga, reflexology, Thai yoga massage, sports massage, lymphatic massage, Esalen-style massage, natural birthing support, esthetics, body wraps and energy-healing methods. She holds Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Esthetician credentials, is a Holistic Health Practitioner, and holds an ERYT credential through the Temple of Kriya Yoga. She is an approved NCBTMB provider offering continuing education in bodywork, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, ethics, meditation and breathwork, and stress management. She has been a longtime member of ABMP and Yoga Alliance. Her signature method is SolFlo Massage and Sacred SolFlo Bodywork, a spiritually focused approach she developed and teaches. She also offers Table Thai, Thai Yoga and Swe-Thai massage, plus relaxation, therapeutic, combination, lymphatic, prenatal, headache relief, seated and myofascial release massage. Skin care services include custom corrective facials, acne facials, microdermabrasion, the gentlemen's facial, back and back-to-front facials, an aromatherapy wrap, an herbology body retexturizer and salt glow. She practices Reiki, cranial sacral therapy and chakra balancing, and gives private movement, meditation and breathwork instruction. Private wellness consultations help clients weigh holistic options. Session fees start at about $75 for 30 minutes and go up to about $235 for two hours. Sessions are available by special request or to established clients. Outside the center, she speaks on wellness, yoga and holistic health, and leads paint parties, mandala workshops and creative healing circles.
