About
Mimie Madison is a Licensed Professional at the salon. She has worked in beauty for more than three decades and trained under John Atkinson in Manhattan, New York. Early in her career she consulted on beauty for many hip hop artists in New York, and from the early 1980s she did hair and make-up on music videos, including ones for Run DMC and Diana Ross.
On television she has done beauty work for WTVT Fox 13, Home Shopping Network, UPN, MyNetwork TV and several independent shows. In 2004 she served as executive producer of Hip Hop 411 TV on WTOG CW, and she was also personal stylist to the show's host. She has travelled to consult at the Source Awards, BET Awards and MTV Music Awards red carpets.
Her wedding work covers makeup looks for brides and bridal parties, with each booking starting from a private one-on-one consultation. She also offers a range of styles and techniques.
