Michelle Stiver

Michelle Stiver is the Curl Specialist at Salon Aficionado, where she works with natural curls. She has been a hairdresser for over 33 years and brings a broad background in curly hair to her appointments.

Her training covers several curly hair methods and cutting approaches. She holds Curl By Curl Certified Cut and Curly Hair Artistry Certified credentials, and she has completed Kinky Curly Hair Artistry Level 1 training, listed as It Kinky Level 1, along with Technically Intuitive curly hair training. Her DevaCurl work includes Level 2 and Level 3 certifications, Advanced DevaCurl Level 1 training and Inspired DevaCurl training. She has also completed Art of Texture training, Head Shape Matters training, Jayne Matthews: Razor Craft and Hand Styling training, and Mona Baltazar: The Mona Cut training. She holds an Ouidad Certified credential and a Rëzo Certified credential.

She takes on new clients who want a routine for healthy, beautiful curls. Each new client's hair is analyzed and a plan is mapped out before cutting begins, and she teaches clients how to style and care for their curls during the appointment.
