About
Michelle Schneider owns Optimal Hormone Health & Aesthetics and holds a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner license in Texas. Her education runs from an Associate Degree in Nursing from Houston Community College (1997) through a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston (2001), to a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston (2012). She brings close to three decades of clinical nursing, 14 of those years as a nurse practitioner, and has run the practice for 12 years.
Her clinical work centers on hormone replacement therapy for men and women, medical weight loss, and functional medicine and aesthetics, with a focus on women going through menopause. Credentials include the Menopause Specialist designation from The Menopause Society; Advanced Certification in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association (2022); Advanced Certification in Applying Functional Medicine to Clinical Practice from the Institute of Functional Medicine (2021); and Advanced Certification as a BHRT Provider from Worldlink Medical (2025).
On the aesthetic side, her interests include PRP and PRF regenerative procedures, peptide therapy, and collagen-boosting treatments that combine energy-based devices with injectables. She has completed Allergan training in Kybella, Sculptra, Skinvive and Volux, received advanced Botox training on injectability in 2026, and is certified as an injector for testosterone and estradiol pellets. She is also a Laser Hair Removal Technician, trained at the Texas Laser Institute in 2016.
Carson-Newman University brought her on as adjunct faculty from 2025 to 2026. Her invited speaking has covered hormone health and menopause, with presentations at the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses yearly meeting and the Preclareus Breakfast Club.
