Michelle Robertson

Michelle Robertson is the founder of GlammCity Beauty, a Master Hair Stylist and licensed beauty professional. She is a beauty expert and educator. With more than three decades in the industry, she started in Brooklyn, New York, and first worked in upscale salons in New York. After relocating to South Florida, she took on assignments in Miami with models and photographers. For over six years she worked as a professional makeup artist for M.A.C, and she has also collaborated with other cosmetics brands. Early in her career she was mentored by makeup artist Christopher Maldonado, and she keeps building her skills through industry seminars and hands-on training. Her clients have included celebrities such as Janet Jackson, Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Zhane, Venus and Serena Williams, and Aaliyah. Her work has appeared in Heart & Soul, Black Men Magazine, Ocean Drive, Vibe, Essence, Marie Claire, Hype Hair and Sophisticate's Black Hair, as well as in national ad campaigns, television commercials, music videos, fashion shows and album covers. She works freelance as an event hair and makeup artist and also provides hair and makeup for photo shoots. She has written two books, Hair Biz: Tales of a New York Hairdresser and Jet Set Beauty Guide, both available on Amazon, and is working on a third book and other beauty products. Her career also includes work as a flight attendant.
