Michal Muszynski

Michal Muszynski is a Master Scalp Micropigmentation Practitioner and the founder of Magic Ink SMP in Winnetka, where he has worked in the SMP field for fourteen years. Before opening Magic Ink, he was lead practitioner at Hairline Ink for several years, and he has completed more than ten thousand SMP sessions.

His training began in the UK under Paul Clark and Simon Lane and was finished in Los Angeles with an SMP company. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and works in Dot Work, the tattoo technique that builds images from individually placed pigment points and underlies SMP work. He co-developed Adaptive Trichopigmentation with Dr. Vinay Rawlani, the founding physician of Northwestern Hair Restoration, and he regularly teaches and speaks at industry events.

Clients travel to Winnetka from across the United States and internationally. He mixes pigment to each client's exact hair color and skin tone, adjusts the base and shade for each person, and works to a consistent pigment depth to limit early fading or discoloration. His specialties include scalp micropigmentation for male pattern baldness, density augmentation, camouflage of hair transplant scarring, and repair of SMP work done elsewhere, and he specializes in pigment density work for women's hair loss. According to the practice, he received the Meeting of the Minds award, which it describes as recognizing him as one of the best SMP artists in America, and the practice says he has sponsorships from leading needle and ink companies.
