Michael N. Mirzabeigi, MD

Michael N. Mirzabeigi, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and partner at Atlanta Plastic Surgery PC. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Pennsylvania, and also trained at the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

His practice spans reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He is considered an expert in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. His particular focus includes DIEP breast reconstruction and restoring sensation to the chest after mastectomy. He also performs aesthetic breast surgery and complex breast revisions, facial aesthetic surgery and rhinoplasty, body contouring, and gender-affirming and reconstructive procedures for transgender and gender-nonconforming patients. Tummy tucks are part of his work, including a drainless technique for eligible patients.

He has written more than 50 papers for clinical journals and has presented at over 70 conferences for plastic surgeons and other medical professionals. He serves as section editor of the breast surgery section in the Annals of Plastic Surgery and has been faculty at the Atlanta Breast Symposium, where he performed live surgery. He has also been invited to present at national and international plastic surgery meetings. He is named a Top Doctor in Atlanta, voted by peers in Atlanta Magazine. His research and presentations are award-winning.

For tummy tuck patients, he reviews each case individually and builds a plan specific to that patient. He encourages detailed questions at consultation so expectations are realistic, and he goes over post-operative instructions in detail.
