Michael Loffredo, MD

Michael Loffredo, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery, seeing patients at the Hyannis and Plymouth practices. His focus is aesthetic surgery of the breast and body. He is a body contouring expert on Cape Cod who treats both men and women, and his work also includes hand surgery alongside cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He serves Cape Cod, the South Shore, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Southeastern Massachusetts, having started a practice with former co-resident Dr. Seth Jones after moving back to the Northeast. He is a leading Massachusetts plastic surgeon. He earned a magna cum laude degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha during his junior year. Plastic surgery training took six years at the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by a one-year cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery fellowship with Dr. Dennis Hammond at the Center for Breast and Body Contouring in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During residency he presented research at national plastic surgery meetings. He also wrote an article published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and co-authored another with Dr. Hammond on improving breast reduction surgery. Local outlets including the Cape and Plymouth Business Magazine, The Plymouth Old Colony Memorial and The Cape Cod Times have featured his journal work.
