Michael Levin

Michael Levin, MD, is part of the PointHealth team. He is a psychopharmacology expert whose focus spans psychopharmacology and behavioral medicine, with more than 25 years of experience across mental health, research and patient care. He founded the East Bay Psychopharmacology Group in Northern California and spent 25 years as its Medical Director. He holds an M.D. from New York University School of Medicine and an M.S. in Pharmacology from New York Medical College. Afterward he completed a two-year fellowship in developmental-behavioral medicine and psychopharmacology at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. His appointments have included work at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a faculty position at UC Irvine, and faculty membership at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. For 16 years he taught Psychopathology and Psychopharmacology at UC Berkeley Extension. He has also run a psychiatric practice, carried out pharmaceutical research, and advised drug companies on treatments.
