Michael Karon

Michael Karon practices as a plastic surgeon at Main Line Institute of Plastic Surgery and holds a DO. The practice notes that at Lankenau, where he trained in general surgery and served as administrative chief resident, he was given the Gilson Colby Engel Award for Intern of the Year. He is board certified in general surgery and sits on the faculty of that residency. He earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

His plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship was completed at Reading Hospital–Tower Health, where he trained closely alongside private practice plastic surgeons in the region with a concentration on aesthetic surgery of the face and body. Earlier in training he worked at Lehigh Valley Health Network and Penn Lancaster General. He is board-eligible in plastic surgery and has hospital privileges at all four Main Line Health hospitals.

His interests include facial aesthetics, body contouring, comprehensive cosmetic surgery and general reconstruction, with particular attention to aesthetic procedures on the face, breast and body. He operates at CoSurgery alongside Dr. Ryan Hoffman, remains hands-on from pre-operative planning through surgery, and has joined the medical spa team at the practice.
