Michael James

Michael James works as a stylist at LOOK and holds a cosmetology license. He has close to ten years in salon work, technical instruction, curriculum building, and mentoring stylists. He has run workshops, helped develop stylists, and contributed to education programs spanning several locations.

He cuts hair precisely and styles to order, covering men's grooming, textured cuts, and both classic and contemporary shapes. He specializes in dimensional color and lived-in balayage for brunettes, sun-kissed looks, and soft brightness, and he also works in blonding and highlights, including foil highlights, soft lowlights, and toning. Color correction for uneven tone, unwanted warmth, and major color shifts is part of his practice, as are tape-in extensions and glossing.
