Michael Frederick MD

Michael Frederick, MD, founded Le Spa Plastic Surgery in Oakland Park and is a board certified plastic surgeon. He completed the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Program from 2010 to 2016, after an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he also served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and an undergraduate degree in marine biology with a minor in Spanish literature at UCLA. He also studied at The Pitanguy Clinic in Rio de Janeiro and is fluent in written and spoken Spanish.

His practice centres on cosmetic surgery shaped to each patient's goals, and he previously focused on breast and body procedures in Las Olas. He took part in the plastic surgery team for two face transplantations at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He has written cosmetic surgery book chapters and articles in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery, including a 2015 paper on nipple-sparing mastectomy in patients with previous breast surgery. He has been invited to speak on surgical techniques at national plastic surgery meetings.

He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he holds a Florida medical license. He was named a Top Doctor for 2021 by Fort Lauderdale Illustrated and for 2020 by Palm Beach Illustrated.
