Mi Shaun Schmidt

Mi Shaun Schmidt owns The Beauty Room, which she opened in 2005, and works as its colorist and extensions specialist. She began at Horst Salon in 1996 as a colorist, educator and member of the creative team, and was the premier colorist at the original Horst and at Friends/Juut Salon before opening her own space.

She trained at the Horst education center and the Aveda Institute, graduating in 1995. She is certified in Great Lengths Hair Extensions, a certification she earned in 2006.

With 31 years of experience in hair, she focuses on all hair color and extensions, including Great Lengths and hand-tied methods. Allure Magazine named her the best colorist in the country in 2000 and the best and brightest hair colorist in Minneapolis in 2012.
