Mercy Gavilanez

Mercy Gavilanez is a Master Stylist, Master Colorist, and Barber at Vida Hair & Skin, and she co-owns the salon with her daughter, Laura Tapia. She began her career as a hair designer and colorist for men and women in Ecuador and worked in the industry there for several years before moving to the United States. She started out in a small shop in the Ironbound area and later opened her first solely owned full-service salon in West Orange. Vida Hair & Skin is her second salon and spa. Her specialty is cutting and coloring for all hair types. She is a bilingual stylist.
