Melissa Moody

Melissa Moody owns The Salon Aura and performs every service herself, from the first consultation through the final style. She has worked as a stylist for 25 years and holds cosmetology licenses in California and Oklahoma, along with a Master Instructor license in Oklahoma. She spent five years teaching and leading education for stylists across the US. Her specialties include foiled highlights taken to the scalp, grey coverage, custom blonde matched to the client's skin tone, precision haircuts, head-shape cutting and sewn-in extensions. She does the consultation and cutting for men's haircuts herself, including clipper and scissor cuts, and plans each cut around head shape and how the hair grows. For extensions, she is certified in Invisible Bead, Easihair Pro and Philocaly K-Tip methods. She places each row by hand and cuts the extensions together with the client's natural hair so the two blend. She is also Redken Color Certified and Redken Design Certified. Clients are known by name at the studio.
