Melissa works as a Master Stylist at Smith Stylez. Before joining the salon she ran her own salon. She has styled hair professionally for 15 years. Her training came from a hair school that teaches natural hair care and natural hairstyles, and she received her license once that program was finished. Her services cover hair extensions, K tips, I tips, tape-ins, sew-ins, closures, unit installs and weaves, along with luxury hair, hair wraps, ponytails, extended ponytails and silk presses. For natural hair she works on twist-outs, braid-outs and wash-and-gos. She goes to training four times a year to add new techniques, and recently finished a micro link course. Clients can expect her to walk them through each step of the appointment and how long it will take. She also recommends products and styles for maintaining natural hair at home. She has built a loyal client base.
