Melissa Johnson

Melissa Johnson works as the artist at Utah Dermagraphics, where she is a certified Dermagraphic Technician and a DMP instructor. Her career began in 2006, and she has spent five years as a course instructor. Micro-pigmentation is her core focus, covering scar revision and permanent cosmetics aimed at both reconstructive and cosmetic needs. She is also certified in paramedical needling, used for scar treatment and camouflage. Her first training was at the Scar Treatment Center of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, combining formal instruction with a two-year internship. That internship was carried out under Guadalupe Pointe. Later she continued her education with the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, Everlasting Brows, SofTap Lasting Impressions, The American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics, and the International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics. Those studies addressed scar revision, saline and salabrasion tattoo removal, paramedical micro-pigmentation, permanent cosmetics and correctional work. She is also a trained color analyst, helping clients choose shades that suit their skin and hair tone. Private one-on-one instruction is part of her teaching. A high percentage of her business comes from repeat clients and referrals.
