Melinda Wellman

Melinda Wellman owns Melinda Wellman Salon and works as an expert colorist and hair stylist in San Diego. She has more than 20 years of experience as a stylist and has most recently worked in San Diego's La Jolla area.

Hair color is her specialty. She works on balayage, highlights, and ombre and sombre color, and she works on bronde, a blend of blonde and brunette tones. She has completed advanced training in Schwarzkopf and in Redken, and she is Brazilian Blowout certified with experience performing the Brazilian Blowout keratin treatment.

She gives each client one-on-one attention and aims to make them look and feel beautiful. She aims to recreate natural, sun-kissed color, and she uses Olaplex during lightening to limit damage. She also favors low-maintenance color, such as babylights and ombre, that grows out with less upkeep. She was voted San Diego's best hair colorist, with a win noted in 2011.
