About
Melina Mebane owns Melina Rose Artistry and works as its stylist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Sociology from UIC. Her early work was at the Palmer House, where she did hair and nails.
She then completed an apprenticeship under Antje Kastner, studying the history of hair and working with actors around Chicago. After the apprenticeship she began working with curly hair full time.
Her focus is curly hair and healthy hair of all textures. She gives guidance, support and hair care advice, with curl-by-curl attention during consultations. Clients describe her as talented, warm and attentive.
