Melanie Mendoza

Melanie Mendoza practises as a licensed acupuncturist at The Salt Room Orlando, where she holds board certification as an Acupuncture Physician and as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She also holds a dual licence as a massage therapist and has been licensed as an esthetician for more than nine years. She has over 29 years of cumulative experience in the alternative healthcare industry.

In acupuncture, she offers an anti-aging treatment that uses either acupuncture or micro-point stimulation, paired with herbal therapy. Her specialties include scar therapy, pain management, allergy intervention treatments and herbal consultations. Her main areas of focus are gastrointestinal and gastroenterological care, and addiction. She is certified to administer vitamin B12 injections and homeopathic injections.

She has taught at the Cortiva Institute, which was previously called Florida College of Integrative Medicine, for more than three years. She is also a member of the American Acupuncture Council.
