Melanie Fulton-Ruiz

Melanie works as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse focused on non-surgical medical aesthetics. She has more than 20 years of experience in aesthetics. She was among the earliest US nurses, in 1998, to perform chemical peels, neuromodulators, fillers, bio stimulants and laser treatments.

Her background includes work in a medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology office, where she took part in clinical studies and assisted physicians with skin exams, biopsies, surgeries and wound closures. She has served as a nurse educator for the laser companies Laserscope, Iridex and Fraxel, and has trained physicians and nurses in the US and abroad on devices and techniques for vascular anomalies and melasma. Earlier in her career she worked under plastic surgeon Dr. James M. Landeen, who retired in 2016, and under Medical Director Dr. John N. Sanderson. She currently serves as a nurse educator for Galderma Pharmaceuticals, training physicians, nurses and aesthetic practitioners in injection skills.
