Maxine

Maxine works as a colorist and stylist at CutLoose BK, a hair salon in Brooklyn, New York. Before moving to New York City she spent eight years working in Philadelphia, where she had first relocated to pursue an education in hair styling.

Her color work centers on blondes of every shade, and she has a particular interest in bold, vibrant fashion colors. Examples of her work include pink balayage, red hair, copper tones, single process color, and full head highlights or balayage.

On the cutting side, she names the Butterfly Cut as her favorite and also works on mullets, shags and wolf cuts. Her portfolio includes a wolf cut with a raccoon tail, a subtle shag, and a black curly cut. She aims to keep the chair a judgment-free, safe space for every client.
