Mavis W Billips

Mavis W Billips is the Medical Director of City of Angels Dermatology and a board-certified dermatologist. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a board-certified pediatrician. She has served the medical community for more than 16 years and is on the medical staff at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

She graduated from Brown University School of Medicine, Harvard University School of Public Health and Tougaloo College. She then completed a dermatology residency at King Drew Medical Center and a pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital National Medical Center.

Her work covers general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and preventive skin cancer care. Her patients include those with acne, eczema, rashes and vitiligo, as well as shaving bumps, sun damage and disorders of the skin, hair and nails. Cosmetic work targets forehead wrinkles, facial rejuvenation, skin discoloration and spider veins, using chemical peels, Botox, Radiesse, Restylane, microdermabrasion and leg vein sclerotherapy. She has written peer-reviewed articles on acne, psoriasis and vitiligo, conducts research on acne, melasma and biologic filler agents, and has given talks on skin cancer risk to transplant patients at Cedars Sinai's Comprehensive Transplant Center.
