About
Matthew H. Steele, MD, practices as a plastic surgeon in Fort Worth, Texas, and is double board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is one of a few plastic surgeons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area holding both certifications. His special expertise covers breast augmentation, breast lifts, mommy makeovers, tummy tucks and liposuction. He works across aesthetic surgery of the body, breast and face, as well as reconstructive surgery of the face, breasts and extremities. His reconstructive work includes breast reconstruction after mastectomy, treatment of skin melanomas, and reconstruction following Mohs excision. For patients who have lost a large amount of weight, he offers body contouring such as tummy tucks, arm lifts and BodyTite. He received undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida in seven years through the Junior Honors Medical Program, and completed medical education in 1998. An internship and residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery followed at The Louisiana Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, then a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2006. He then joined the University of Florida faculty, where he taught plastic surgeons in training, undergraduate and medical students, and general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT and oral surgery residents. He received numerous honors and teaching awards there, and has published extensively and presented work at national and international meetings. He was recruited to Fort Worth in 2011 to join another practice after five and a half years in academic practice. He later returned after a two-year absence to open a solo private plastic surgery practice. He has traveled to Honduras several times on medical missions to treat children with cleft lips and palates. His priority is patient satisfaction from the first consultation through recovery.
