Marybeth Imbres

Marybeth Imbres owns HAIR GIRL HAIR, where she works as a colorist and stylist. She has more than 17 years of experience, beginning in salons after receiving her license in 2007. While in cosmetology school, she worked at one of Boca Raton's top salons. She moved to Chicago in 2013 and joined a local salon, becoming a full-time stylist in Andersonville in 2015. She opened HAIR GIRL HAIR in May 2018. Her training includes styling and razor cutting at Bumble and Bumble University.

Her work covers custom color, vivid fantasy shades and advanced corrective color, along with precision cuts for every hair type, from fine and straight to thick and curly. Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments and hair extensions are also part of her services. Her editorial and media work includes a cover feature in Chicago Splash Magazine's The Singles Issue (2016), a 2016 appearance on the cable show Chop Chop TV, and editorial work in Surreal Beauty, Strange Beauty and AMOUR magazines between 2014 and 2015.

Each appointment starts with learning the client's hair history and goals, then building a plan around their lifestyle. She walks clients through each step and offers maintenance tips and product recommendations, including IGK and Victory products.
