Mary Shugrue

Mary Shugrue is a master hairstylist at Cutting Edge Hair Arvada. She trained at Warren Technical School, starting cosmetology school during her senior year of high school, and graduated with a cosmetology license in 1988. While earning her license she placed third in the state VICA competition in styling and updos.

She has advanced training in Wella SoColor, Redken, Davines and Goldwell, and is certified with Wella, Davines, Goldwell, Matrix and Redken Color. Her specialties are color and color correction, and precision cutting and texturizing. She counts color corrections and precision cuts among the services she enjoys most to provide.

She aims to give each client a modern look that fits their personality and daily life, and that is simple to keep up. Her cuts last longer than average because of the texturizing and thinning placement. Clients value her recommendations and product knowledge, and she works to keep the appointment friendly and welcoming.
