About
Marissa Duarte is the founder of Beauty Republic and works as an esthetician at the studio. Before starting the business she taught high school culinary arts.
Her training includes time directly under Joelle Ciocco in Paris, France, in epidermology, along with work with Cecily Braden in gua sha, Via Skincare in reconstructive facial massage including buccal massage, and Amala Black in Dien Chan Zone facial reflexology. She is certified in Dien Chan Zone facial reflexology and completed Open Floor International teacher certification in 2023. She has completed more than half a dozen specialized training programs since 2019.
She has mentored more than 15 estheticians, and her focus areas include facial massage, buccal massage, gua sha, Thai herbal poultice and facial reflexology. Her approach is plant-based and non-invasive, treating the skin alongside the person as a whole.
