Mario Rentuma

Mario Rentuma is co-owner of Lluminaire Salon and serves as its senior cosmetologist. Hairstyling became his work in 1983, when he joined Giuseppe's Hair Studio in Parkville; he remained there for 21 years under Giuseppe Castellano. In October 2004 he teamed up with Dean Krapf to open Lluminaire in Towson. With over four decades in the field, he focuses on razor cutting. His training centers on color foundation, color correction and balayage. He has taken multiple courses with the Vidal Sassoon Academy, completed the Paul Mitchell Associates Program, and trained with the L'Oréal Academy for Color. He also finished the Discovering Your Inner Artist course run by Carlo Novoa and Yureesh Hooker at L'Oréal, and trained in Sherri Renée Hair Couture for Parisian hair enhancements. He is certified in keratin smoothing systems and has been a member of IATSE Local 798, hair department, since 2002. His film and HBO credits include The Wire, The Visiting, National Treasure 2 and Jackie. Celebrity clients have included Daniel Craig, Ed Harris, Anna Chlumsky and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
