Marie Venter

Marie Venter owns Innovative Hair Designs and works as its curly hair stylist. She is a DevaCurl Certified Stylist, and she has worked as a curly hair specialist since 1988. Her specialties are curly hair, the DevaCut, hair color and hair extensions.

Her color work includes balayage, color melting, Pintura highlights, dimensional color, gray reduction and red shades. She has taken academy courses held by Bellamy Hair Extensions, DreamCatchers and HaloCouture, courses from Redken Color Academy, DevaCurl and Global Keratin Treatments, and Goldwell. Her most recent education is the Calligraphy Cut.

She is known for working on curly hair and for her range of looks, from simple and carefree to understated elegance or rocker-chic. Clients value her intuitive sense of style, her gentle but direct manner and her willingness to hear what clients need. Some clients make the trip from Birmingham, Alabama and Greenville, South Carolina to see her for DevaCurl cuts, extensions and balayage.
