Marie Flanagan

Marie Flanagan is the president and founder of Geometrics Hair Design. She has been a licensed stylist and colorist since 1979. From 1979 to 1981 she assisted Steven Harman, a Redken platform artist and color educator, and learned permanent wave, color, highlighting and color correction skills while working with him. She later worked at La Moustache in Old Town Alexandria and co-owned a salon from 1983 to 1989. She returned to work with Steven Harman for six months, from late 1989 to May 1990, before opening Geometrics Hair Design in 1990. Her focus is organic hair color, highlights, balayage and corrective color. She spent about seven years and seven months at the Sola Salons Eisenhower location. She joined the Hilltop Village Center location in late 2021. She consults with clients to agree on the color, cut and styling results they want, and she listens closely to haircare concerns and keeps communication clear throughout.
