Maribel Ruiz owns Skin & Body by Beauty of Wax and founded Beauty of Wax. She is a licensed cosmetologist and facial specialist. The Hollywood Chamber named her one of the top 10 Business Women of the Year in 2015 and Small Business Person of the Year in 2016.
Her credentials include a plasma fibroblasts specialist certification and experience with fibroblast technology. Additional certificates cover brow artistry from Kelley Baker Brows, Certified Professional status with PCA Skin Academy, Silhouet-tone training from P.R. Cell, Procell Therapies from the Procell Executive Board, plasma fibroblast from Prive Academy, and fractional radiofrequency from Prismatic. In 2018 she completed the Small Business Executive Program offered by the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship at Florida State University College of Business, and she also completed the Leadership Hollywood program. She travels to attend business training and development seminars.
She serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and is a board member and treasurer of the Downtown Hollywood Business Association.
