About
Mariama runs Posh African Hair Braiding Lounge. Her braiding work began in 2009 at a neighborhood shop, where she was also a student. When that shop shut down, she kept braiding from her home. In 2013 she graduated from Texas Southern University with a bachelor's degree, then moved into an MBA program focused on accounting, with the aim of becoming a CPA. Across more than ten years of corporate work, she gained experience in public accounting, the oil and gas sector, and a technology company.
