Maria

Maria owns Chroma by Maria and works as its colorist and extension specialist. She has been doing hair for more than 20 years on the Philadelphia Main Line, and has worked with hair extensions for more than ten years.

Her specialties are color for brunettes, blondes and gray coverage, and custom K-tip keratin bond extensions. She combines extensions and color in one visit, so one person handles both.

She has trained in many hair extension methods and keeps taking classes throughout the year. At the consultation she considers natural movement, length, density, type and hair health, along with texture, condition and growth patterns, before recommending color, extensions or both. She also provides a maintenance calendar at that first visit and suggests products suited to each client's hair.

Each K-tip bond is hand-made, with its size and placement chosen during installation. Extensions are density-matched to each client using single-donor hair, and each color service begins with a conversation about preferences, past color and upkeep before a custom color is mixed.
