Maria Shkreli

Maria Shkreli is the founder and CEO of M/5 Haircare Essentials, and she developed the M/5 system and its product line. She began her career after placing first in a Wilfred Academy competition, when a judge offered her a first salon job in Riverdale. She opened her own first salon in 1994, at age 27, called Äria Riverdale, and has more than 25 years of experience styling hair.

She has opened several salons, including Äria on Hudson, Äria NYC, Selah Salon and Äria White Plains. With her sister, she opened Selah, a salon and lounge in White Plains. She also brought hair care lab-testing experience to the opening of her first salon.

Her aesthetic has been featured on My Celebrity Home and in Planet, Details, View and Clear magazines, and she has styled photoshoots for Goldbar in New York City and for Lenny Kravitz. She was named Best Educator at the SOHO Institute of Aveda. Haircuts and men's haircuts are listed under her name on the booking platform.
