Marco Barusco

Marco Barusco founded Tempus Hair Restoration as a founding partner and serves as its Chief Medical Officer. His work is limited to hair restoration, which sets him apart from cosmetic surgeons who also offer hair treatments. He is a Board Certified Medical Hair Restoration Surgeon (MHR) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. For a 12-year period he worked as a hair transplant surgeon and trainer at Medical Hair Restoration (MHR), where he was involved in its accredited Post Graduate Fellowship program that trained doctors in hair transplantation. His specialties include hair transplants, facial hair transplants, eyebrow transplants and beard transplants, where he has helped numerous men. He also treats hair loss in women and performs complex transplants for head trauma patients. He developed the No-Shave FUE procedure and is described as one of only a few doctors worldwide with the experience to perform Long-Hair FUE. He personally carries out every FUE harvest and creates all recipient sites in the balding areas, conducts each consultation himself, and treats one patient at a time. For eyebrow work he selects the transplant method based on the patient's hair type, and he plans the angle and direction of transplanted facial hair so the result looks natural. He has treated national and international celebrities, and his clients travel from across the country and abroad. Consultations are offered in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and a Global Clinical Scholars researcher at Harvard Medical School. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, sits on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and has served on several committees of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. The home page lists him as president of the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ASHRS/AACS) for 2026. He has authored hair restoration textbooks in English and Portuguese, along with chapters for medical textbooks and clinical studies, and gives keynote talks at industry events worldwide. He received a 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award, and the site lists him among America's Most Honored Professionals for 2018.
