Maha Abboud

Maha Abboud founded Qua Wellness and Med Spa and leads the practice. She is an endocrinologist focused on hormones, metabolism and weight, and she spent thirty years treating complex hormone and weight cases before opening Qua in Burr Ridge. She completed an endocrinology fellowship at Northwestern and holds an Illinois medical license held since 1991.

She is board-certified in endocrinology by the American Board of Endocrinology, in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in obesity medicine. Her practice covers diabetes and metabolism, internal medicine and obesity medicine, and she has more than 500,000 patient visits.

She leads the medical weight loss program and the low testosterone evaluation, seeing patients with monthly follow-ups. She also sees PCOS patients and reviews insulin alongside other hormone results before recommending treatment. Recognition includes the Vitals Patients' Choice Award, a listing among America's Top Physicians, the Golden Apple Teaching Award, and being named Attending of the Year at Westlake and Rush. She has also appeared as an expert guest on WGN TV Channel 9.
