Madelyn Ropelato

Madelyn Ropelato works as a hair stylist and balayage specialist. She currently works at Alana Kai Salon, where Mads Beauty Frenzy is based, and holds a cosmetology license from Davis Technical College, where she trained.

Her training at Davis Technical College included salon and spa services at Davis Hospital, free haircuts at elementary schools and competing in salon fashion shows. Guest trainings during school came from Wayne Tuggle, Xavier Jobany, Jessee Skitrall, Nachelle Turner, Natalie Soto and Kim Jaynes.

Her first salon was JC Penney, where she learned how the industry worked. She later worked at Blush Beauty & Co., assisting Sam Hurst before taking on her own booth and clients.

Balayage is her specialty. She tends to plan appointments around the look, the upkeep and the aftercare, including a toner when the shade needs refining and a gloss between visits. Balayage typically lasts 8 to 12 weeks before a touch-up.
