Lupe M. Guthrie

Lupe M. Guthrie is the owner of Therapeutic Skin Care, a role she has held for more than 18 years, and she started the Remédios Skin Care line in 2011. She is licensed as an esthetician by the California State Board and holds a California State certification as a massage practitioner. Her practice centers on acne in adults and teens, premature aging, and ongoing preventative skin care.

For several years she has researched skin care approaches for people undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Clients she sees during that treatment include those dealing with acne, premature aging, or other skin concerns. She teaches advanced esthetics to other skin professionals and volunteers with the American Cancer Society's Look Good Feel Better program, where she shows people receiving oncology care how to care for their skin.

Guthrie completed paramedical training in skin rejuvenation and related medical techniques and has studied under many dermatology and skin specialists, including Dr. James Fulton. Her coursework includes Vacuodermie and Sonäge with Sylvie Archenault, rosacea and acne training with Jan Marini Skin Research, pigmentation and peel work with Evangelina Pau, MD, and Eminence 100% Organic Hungarian Skin Care. She also studied reflexology with Bill Flocco at the American Academy of Reflexology and has trained at schools in Thailand, Australia, the Mayan Riviera, and the USA. She is a member of the International Massage Association and the International Esthetics Association. She is listed in Cambridge Who's Who.
